PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF DENGUE THROUGH AYURVEDA
Dengue fever or Dandak jawara is a viral disease which spread during rainy season by the bite of mosquitoes. The toxins released by virus imbalances the doshas resulting various symptoms like fever, severe headache, nausea, vomiting, skin rashes, joints pain etc. So to achieve balance in the doshas and well being in the person the toxins in the body should be expelled.
Management of Dengue fever by herbal treatments:
.Drink as much water/ liquid as one can in order to remain hydrated.
.Take fruits/juices rich in vitamin C like Amla, orange, pomegranate, black grapes etc.
.Papaya leaves juice(2teaspoon) is a natural cure for dengue fever and is a sure cure for platelets deficiency.
. Boil 10-15 basil(tulsi) leaves in 200ml of water and when it reduces to half sieve it and drink this decoction 2-3 times a day.
. Chew 10-15 basil leaves or take juice of basil leaves twice daily.
. Fenugreek( meethi) leaves can be taken as herbal tea.
. Decoction of Giloy or giloy juice can be taken twice daily.
Prevention is better than cure so preventive measures one should take are:
. Clean mosquitoes breeding places like stagnant water, garbage etc.
. Wear full sleeves dresses while going out.
. Apply neem oil to body of kids before going outside.
. Fumigate your house and surrounding with Kapur, Guggal, neem leaves etc.
